Pilgrims from across the world are gathering in Uttar Pradesh for the Kumbh Mela, which begins on January 15 and will end on March 4.

The Ardh Kumbh Mela takes place every after 6 years. Thousands of ash-clad naked Naga Sadhus visited Prayagraj to take a holy dip in the Ganga. Said to be the Maha Snan, the holy bath starts at 3 AM in the morning. The saints are the first to take the dip.
